aislum.space · Zanzibar Tours
Walk through working spice farms, taste cloves, vanilla, cardamom, and turmeric straight from the source. A half-day that changes how you cook forever.
About the Tour
Zanzibar earned its nickname "The Spice Island" centuries ago — and the farms still run as they always have. You'll walk barefoot between clove trees, bite into fresh nutmeg, and learn why Arab traders once called this place the most valuable land on earth.
Your guide was born on these farms. This isn't a performance — it's their backyard, and they're inviting you in.
What You'll Experience
Wander through active spice plantations — clove, cinnamon, black pepper, lemongrass — and see how they grow.
Touch, crush, smell, and taste 12+ spices freshly harvested. Nothing packaged, nothing artificial.
A communal meal of rice, coconut curry, and fresh tropical fruits — cooked right on the farm.
Dramatic canopy light, colorful spice baskets, and traditional dress — your guide knows every spot.
We collect you from Stone Town or your hotel. No taxis, no stress — just show up ready.
Optional stop at Darajani Market on the return — bring home what you just tasted.

"We didn't expect to love a 'spice tour' this much. It's not touristy at all — it's a real farm. The lunch alone was worth every dollar."
